Basic Bow guide for Monster Hunter Now

The bow is a ranged weapon that can shoot arrows at a distance. The bow has several advantages over other weapons, such as being able to target specific parts of a monster, being able to use different types of coatings to apply various effects, and being able to charge up your shots for more damage. The bow also has some disadvantages, such as having limited ammo, being vulnerable to close-range attacks, and requiring good stamina management.

To aim with the bow, you will need to aim by moving your phone.

To shoot with the bow, you need to press and hold the shoot button on the bottom left corner of the screen. This will charge up your shot and increase its damage and range. You can release the button to fire your arrow, or you can tap it again to cancel your shot. You can also move while charging your shot, but this will consume your stamina.

The bow has three levels of charge: level 1, level 2, and level 3. Each level has a different shot type, which affects the number and spread of arrows you fire. The higher the level, the more damage and range. You can see your charge level by looking at the circle gauge to blink yellow.

The bow also has a critical distance, which is the optimal range for shooting arrows. If you are too close or too far from the monster, your arrows will deal less damage and have a smaller impact effect. You can tell if you are in critical distance by looking at the screen shake and the hit spark when your arrows hit the monster.

How to use the different shot types

The bow has four different shot types: rapid, spread, pierce, and arc. Each shot type has a different pattern and effect on the monster.

Rapid: This shot type fires a vertical line of arrows that deal concentrated damage to a single point. This is good for hitting weak spots or breaking parts.

Spread: This shot type fires a horizontal line of arrows that deal spread damage to a wide area. This is good for hitting multiple parts or applying status effects.

Pierce: This shot type fires a single arrow that pierces through the monster’s body and hits multiple times. This is good for hitting long or large monsters or dealing consistent damage.
