Hey there, fellow hunters! Welcome back to Monster Hunter Now. Today, we've got some exciting updates to dive into. Niantic has rolled out Monster Hunter Now update version 63.0, and it brings some interesting changes and improvements to the game. Plus, it's almost Halloween, and you know what that means – spooky monsters and exclusive gear. Grab your potions, sharpen your weapons, and let's get right into it!
Update 63.0 Highlights:
Party System Upgrade:
One of the exciting changes in update 63.0 is the Party System upgrade. You can now see all your party members on the map when you're hunting together. This not only adds immersion to your hunts but also opens the door for future features like gestures and mini-games.
Note that everyone in your party must update their game to make this feature work properly. Otherwise, you might not see your party members on the map until they've updated.
Party Timeout Feature:
Niantic has introduced a new party timeout feature, which is supposed to prompt you to disband the party if you haven't been hunting together for a while. However, the trigger for this popup seems a bit finicky, and our blogger didn't experience it as expected. Keep an eye out for this in future updates.
Favorites System:
One of the most exciting features in this update is the Favorites System. You can now bookmark your favorite weapons and armor sets. When you fight monsters with potential drops for these gear pieces, they'll be highlighted with a green star icon, making it easier to track your desired loot.
Aesthetic Upgrade for Drops:
Another visual change is the introduction of a golden sparkle effect when you receive drops. This effect also appears on the time rating icon (ABC) when you complete a hunt. It's a small but welcome change that adds some flair to the game.
Lock-On Skill Improvement:
The lock-on skill received a significant quality-of-life improvement, widening the margin for the lock-on prompt. This allows for more accurate targeting, reducing frustrating misclicks during battles.
Halloween Pumpkin Hunt:
Are you ready for some Halloween fun in the world of Monster Hunter Now? The Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event kicks off soon, and it's filled with thematic delights:
Jacko Head Armor and Jacko Butt – Halloween-exclusive gear to get you into the spooky spirit.
Kyaku with pumpkin-like rocks called Kulu – hunt them to earn special carving knives and pumpkin tickets.
A new skill called Solidarity, which boosts your attack power when activated, and during the Halloween Pumpkin event, the effect is multiplied by five when fellow hunters also have this skill.
But that's not all, the streets will be filled with Kulu and pumpkin rocks starting October 28th. So, get ready for a festive, monster-hunting experience!
Event Details:
Special limited-time quests and Halloween Pumpkin quests offer pumpkin tickets for crafting and upgrading Jacko head equipment.
A Halloween medal acquisition quest and a special carving knife distribution will keep the spooktastic fun going.
Keep in mind that after using 70 pumpkin tickets for upgrades, you'll need regular materials to further enhance your Jacko head equipment.
Other Game Updates:
Reviving with Potions:
You now have the option to revive yourself with a potion when defeated in battle. But beware, the timer continues to tick while you decide, so act quickly.
Faster Healing:
You can now heal yourself directly from the monster's targeting screen. This minor change saves time and streamlines your healing process.
Discrepancy of Stars:
Niantic addressed an issue where the star rating for monsters differed between players in a party. Now, the star rating should be consistent for everyone.
UI and Medal Changes:
Certain Monster Hunter medals and the user interface received some quality-of-life adjustments, making it easier to track your achievements.
Enhanced Paintballing:
The game now allows up to three attempts to hunt paintballed monsters. A prompt also reminds you when it's your last chance to challenge the monster.
Pico Changes:
Pico, your trusty sidekick, can once again mark monsters even while the app is running.
Monster Hunter Now has experienced significant updates with version 63.0, enhancing your hunting experience and making your gameplay more immersive. Plus, the upcoming Halloween Pumpkin Hunt event is sure to get you in the spooky spirit. So, grab your weapons, prepare your gear, and let's celebrate this Halloween season in style! As always, stay tuned for more exciting updates and happy hunting, fellow Hunters!
